The Language of Touch: For the Desktop & Mobile UA

New ways of interacting with software, like touch interactions, mean a rethinking of how we develop our associated user assistance. We have an entirely new set of verbs to consider and use. The new interactions bring with them a number of challenges in producing content for multiple device types. This session is a guide for appropriate language choices to use for touch, whether that is on the latest desktop/laptops or on mobile devices.

You Will Learn

  • The vocabulary of touch.
  • About micro-concise instructions for small screens and short attention spans
  • How to enable device-specific instructions using conditional text
  • About options for voice-enabled UA.
